I create cinematic, story-driven videos that make you move. From concept to final frame, I focus on atmosphere, movement, and emotion.
STUDIES
I have a Bachelor's degree in Creative Business and a Master's in Film and Photography. My Bachelor's program focused heavily on the practical filmmaking aspects starting from pre-production, production, post-production, and marketing. While I don't specialize in marketing by choice, the background knowledge helps me purposefully include elements that help reach wider audiences and create value for the business. As for my Master's, I've spent hours analyzing media from a philosophical side, helping me see deeper into videography as an art form. Every angle, movement and frame is chosen by me with a deeper storytelling purpose. These elements often go unnoticed, but they leave a huge impact. With practical production skills combined with academic media analysis skills, I believe I have "the best of both worlds".
Beyond the commercial frame,
I capture the cinematic truth.
As Orson Welles once said, "A film is never really good unless the camera is an eye of a poet."
EXPERIENCE
In my professional life I've worked for a talent agency as a social media manager, giving me first-hand experience with tight deadlines, client pitches, branding, and value creation. I might seem like an artist, but I also speak business.
I also find myself often in various film festivals around the Netherlands. Most recently I was a part of the jury for InScience film festival in Nijmegen. This experience challenged me to put to the test everything that I know about filmmaking from a production perspective and also as an art form.
I'm particularly interested in storytelling and working with brands who want to do more than just soulless marketing.
